Alex Young
Alex is an associate lawyer with Gardiner Miller Arnold LLP. Alex received his Bachelor of Arts in Honours Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. Alex’s areas of practice include condominium and corporate/commercial law.
Alex has developed an expertise in drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating various condo and business-related documentation, including: condo declarations, by-laws and rule; condo agreements pertaining to telecommunications, electric vehicles, property management, submetering and construction; condo legal opinions pertaining to maintenance, repair and insurance; and corporate share and asset purchase agreements.
Alex is actively involved in the condo industry, having volunteered for the Canadian Condominium Institute’s Communications Committee and Social Media Sub-Committee and for the Association of Condominium Manager’s Social Committee. Alex has also written articles for various condo-related publications, including Condovoice and GMA’s Ontario Condo Law Blog.
Through his work and volunteer experiences, Alex has demonstrated his dedication to helping those who lack the means to help themselves. Alex believes that the key to being an effective lawyer is listening to the goals and constraints of clients.
